System reference / Demo & pre-release sources

Which version does each guide cover?

Read the source date and version beside each answer. The October 5 developer demo shows Guild House recruitment and a cost/wage confirmation with an unknown game build; Demo 0.4.x, Playtest 0.5.4, planned ship figures and the future roadmap support different claims. None gives universal wages, tool recipes or a full ship-departure walkthrough.

What to trust in a live sale

Read Available, current need, each price band and the selected-quantity total in your own screen. Our 11 → 2 → 9 Wood example explains the interaction; it does not mean you should always sell 2 or expect 25 per unit.

Route Planner ship capacity in Demo 0.4.8

When a planned journey needs a ship, the Route Planner first preselects ships with free trips. If no ship can carry the convoy, it preselects the closest fit in red. The journey cannot start until you choose a ship that fits. The patch does not show the ship selector or a full route creation path; the 18/18 capacity in the official CONVOYS editor screenshot is convoy capacity, not ship capacity.

Production tool slots and the smithy

In the Playtest 0.5.4 update, tool slots in production buildings are marked “Coming soon...”. Separately, Demo 0.4.8 removed directions from production buildings without tools to a smithy that did not exist in that demo. These are version-specific interface notes, not a tool recipe, trade-goods definition or a working tool-slot workflow.

Ship purchase notes by Playtest version

Playtest 0.4.3 says ship-purchase feedback indicates when a harbour office is required. Playtest 0.4.6 says clicking a ship in a quest opens ships in the Crowns Market at the Earl’s Court. Playtest 0.5.4 says Ketch and River Galley are season rewards that must be unlocked before purchase. These notes do not show how to earn the rewards, select a ship in Route Planner or start a journey, and they do not replace the September 11 planned stats.

What these guides do not promise

The site covers selected player tasks and names, not a complete recipe or item database. The available sources do not establish a universal Guild House wage, the full Manor Lord’s Privileges upgrade path, every hiring unlock requirement, complete ship selection and departure, a cargo-weight formula, or implemented roadmap features. Playtest 0.5.x remains a separate source scope.
